HAIFA, MOUNT CARMEL, AKKAWe introduce two wonderfull pictures for Haifa, when have been taken in two distant periods of time. The first is a paint by David Roberts RA (October 24, 1796 – November 25, 1864),Scottish painter, was born at Stockbridge, Edinburgh. He is especially known for a prolific series of detailed prints of Egypt and the Near East produced during the 1840s from sketches made during long tours of the region (1838-1840). This work, and his large oil paintings of similar subjects, made him a prominent Orientalist painter. He was elected as a Royal Academician in 1841. Lived in the holy land between 1838-1840.

The second has been taken in 1956 from Mount Carmel as the moon shone the water. | |
